FAQ
What style of magic and mentalism will Harrison perform?
As a professional online magician and virtual mentalist, I specialize in a variety of different styles of magic and mind-reading. My performances use mostly everyday objects or borrowed items and are based on a blend of technical sleight of hand, psychology, and showmanship. As virtual magic is a very new concept, much of the material that I perform in my online magic show was created with the sole purpose of being experienced virtually. Watch the Videos!
How much does Harrison charge for a virtual event?
I offer a wide range virtual magic shows and online team building activities, depending on the scope, and size of your remote event. The rates range from $1,500 and $7,500 depending on factors such as date/time, duration, audience size, customization, and preparation time. Discounts are available in various situations and sometimes the show will be entirely free if provided by my Humanitarian Magic initiative. To get a quote for your virtual event, please fill out the “Check Availability” form or give me a call. Looking forward to hearing from you!
How can I pay for my virtual show?
Full payment for your virtual show is due anytime before the start of the program. Secure transactions can be made by credit card, ACH, wire Transfer, certified check, as well as on various other payment platforms. More information about making your payment can be found Here!
What does the booking process look like?
The booking process is pretty simple. Once we've determined that I'm the right fit for your online event, and have chosen your desired program, you will received an email confirmation. Here you will find all the details for your show, the designated zoom link, promotional materials for the performance, instructions for your guests, and details on paying your balance.
Do you send me a Zoom link or do I provide my own?
All Virtual Magic event confirmations come with a designated zoom link that you will be able to send to your guests. If you would like to use your own zoom link please just let me know and I can easily swap it within your booking. My online magic performances can also be presented on various other video platforms including Google Hangouts, Skype, and Go To Meeting, Bluejeans, and Webex.
What is the cancelation policy?
You can cancel, postpone, or otherwise alter you're booking up to 72 hours before the event. In the event that you have already paid I will refund your full payment in full within 7 days. If you have to cancel within 3 days of your event full payment is requested but can be applied towards a future online event. In the end, the customer is always right and your complete satisfaction is my first priority.
Is it possible for my guests to hang out after the virtual magic show?
Yes! After the show it is very easy for me to make you host and leave the meeting so that you can enjoy some time with your friends and colleagues. Please let me know ahead of time if you would like to use the link before or after the show as special arraignments must be made if I have another engagement.
Is the virtual magic show show better for an audience of 10 guests than it is for 1000 guests?
The zoom show does not change significantly based on the number of guests in attendance. Intimate shows have a certain charm but a large zoom audience is always spectacular! I have performed virtual shows for audiences as small as 2 people on one screen and as large as 5,000 guests in a zoom webinar.
Is the show appropriate for all ages?
All of my online magic shows are engaging and appropriate for any age audience member. As a corporate magician, performing for virtual events all over the world, I am constantly mindful of my audience to be sure my material best fits the moment.
What is the difference between a magic show and a mentalism show?
A magic show is a performance where the magician performs tricks that appear to defy the laws of physics. A mentalism show is a performance where the magician uses their powers of observation, deduction, and influence to perform feats that appear to be supernatural. My virtual and in-person performances combine both magic and mentalism for performance style that can best be described as "Mental Magic".
What is the difference between Parlor Magic and Strolling Magic?
Parlor magic is performed in front of an intimate seated audience of up to 100 guests, typically after dinner as the main event. Strolling Magic is performed in close quarters with just a few people at a time, typically roaming around a cocktail party or corporate reception.
Who are your biggest influences in magic?
Derren Brown and Juan Tamariz are some of my biggest influences in magic and Mentalism. Both are at the top authorities in their perspective fields and place a large emphasis on psychology and misdirection during their performances. Other important influences of mine include David Blaine, Apollo Robins, and Chan Canasta.
What are your hobbies outside of performing virtual magic shows?
Outside of virtual magic I enjoy, darkroom photography, acting like I can skateboard, an amazing cookout or picnic, and hanging out with my wife and daughter. I'm also currently working on some cool projects like Magic Show NYC & Tonight Crowd!
